Last Saturday I had the opportunity to participate in the beautiful event Fotoset Colours and Crazystyle, a special gathering of photographers, cosplayers and people in historical clothing. I absolutely loved the idea of this mix between different genres - an initiative that Annalisa will repeat in future events too!
I wore my dress inspired by Lucile's 1912 design, preserved at the V&A Museum (the one I showed you part of the WIP in my last post and which will be one of my new tutorials in the shop!).
And here are finally some of the photos I mentioned! As you can see from the pictures I made my belt taller than the one of the antique piece and I chose to keep the kimono fabric transparent with no lining to "play with layers". Also I kept my overdress closed through all the photoset to move around better, but it was sort of a shame as the underpart on bottom of the silver lunette is all gathered and it is very beautiful (such a shame to hide it). But you can keep the kimono more open if you make your costume with the tutorial! Also the lower contrast hems decorations are both taller in my costume (see last blog post for photos of the antique used as inspiration / reference).
Here some Pictures:

We had so much fun both during the photo shoot with the photographers and during the picnic that accompanied the event. But the most hilarious part was when we were able to go boating in historical costumes in pairs! The problem? Neither I nor the other girls knew how to row, so we made quite a mess that had us dying with laughter!
It was a beautiful experience and I had the pleasure of being able to take photos among beautiful purple flowers that matched perfectly with my dress, as well as photos and a pair of videos on the boat.
